The Combination Fundraiser

Our fundraising efforts are the "Power Play" that helps keep skater fees as low as possible for every family in the association. By participating, you are directly investing in ice time, equipment, and the growth of our athletes.

Who Participates?

  • Returning Families: All families are required to participate in the annual seasonal fundraiser.
  • New Families: If this is your very first season with NPHA (and you have no other siblings in the program), you are exempt from the requirement this year—though you are always welcome to join in!
  • Buyout Families: If you chose the "Buyout" option during registration, you have already fulfilled your requirement.

The Requirements

Families can choose to participate by selling products, completing the Fund-A-Cause online crowdfunding campaign, or selecting the fundraising buyout option during registration.

Family Status Sales Goal Buyout Option
Single Player $700.00 in sales $350.00
Multi-Player Family $900.00 in sales $450.00

Pro-Tip: Families who exceed their required sales through the Association's traditional product fundraiser may be eligible to receive a refund of a portion of their registration fees, as determined annually by the Board of Directors. Funds raised through the Association's approved crowdfunding option that exceed the required amount will be directed to the Association's Second Sheet of Ice Campaign and are not eligible for registration fee refunds.

Understanding the Math

If you choose to sell but don't quite hit the $700 or $900 goal, you simply pay the difference to match what the association would have made from a buyout.

The "Slapshot Family" Example: The Slapshots have two kids and a $900 sales commitment.

  • They sold $250 in wreaths and $350 in pizzas (Total: $600).
  • They are $300 short of their sales goal.
  • Because NPHA profits 50% on sales, the family would owe an invoice of $150.
  • This $150 payment, combined with the profit from their $600 in sales, equals the $450 family buyout.
